Deana-When done correctly, used tires can be recycled into many items. That pile is at the Floyd County recycling center, and the company that gets them turns them into mulch and playground matting, in addition to fuel to be used for steam generation for industry.

Anytime I see tire dumps like that it makes me sick inside. I hate the thoughts of all the waste we have on this earth that will never disappear!
