Photos from summer travels: 1. Boston Commons fountain. 2. Nantasket Beach in my hometown of Hull, Massachusetts. 3. Downtown Marshall NC, where my son Josh lives. 4. Downtown Marshall. 5. Downtown Portsmouth, VA, while visiting Maury Cooke. 6. I honestly don't remember where this one was taken. It seems manifested from a dream.

It does have an archetypal dream quality.

Especially like the fire hydrant...

Interesting group of photo's. I like the first one with the park in the background and the statue in the foreground.

Michele sent me to say hi :)

That's a fabulous fountain.

Years ago I used to see that statue everyday when I came up from the subway station on my way to work at a boutique. One morning I came up to see the whole place in suds. Someone had dumped laundry soap into it.

apple crisp? YUM!

lovely photos and your simple commentaries of each.

your posts here are so often a ray of gentle light in celebration of life, thank you.

Michele sent me - today

#1 made me smile. :-)

Love,
Susan

wonder where the staircase leads - another staircase on the other side?! these are always so much fun. :)

Dreamlike 6, I believe, is in downtown Marshall. As in 4, the painted brick is in sun, the unpainted brink meets the painted brink at the corner. Don't mean to bust your bubble. Lovely post, as always. CY

Interesting pictures and captions, as always, Colleen. And speaking of Josh, I saw his picture on the front of the Mountain Xpress (our alternative weekly newspaper). A very nice article on Clayspace...

Yes!I thought it was great and was able to read it online at http://www.mountainx.com/ You need to click on the front page photo to the left of the page to read the article and see more pictures.
