Post notes:
My husband, Joe, waking up from a nap in the master bedroom and finding me writing this, says: “Don’t forget to mention that there’s an award winning, ocean front golf course and resort 5 minutes up the road.” I answer: “Get your own blog! You totally need your own golf blog.”

Thanks to Tabor at One Day at a Time for her great suggestions, left in a comment, for the above ad.

We recently moved into a house that overlooks a lovely golf course, but neither my husband and I golf. We're also 2 miles from the ocean. What a treat to be so close. This area does get hurricanes though. Guess that's the tradeoff. Michele sent me today!

I'll take it!

Get your own blog. HA!

Enjoy.

Oh. Chester Arthur... 21st president. I'd never heard of him either. Poor Chester.

Goodness Colly! When I began reading, I almost thought you were going to say you were buying property there!

And to Joe:
Go for it!

You're in paradise! Lucky you!

Glad you are having such a relaxing time. (Envy running rampant here)

You forgot to mention the 'air-conditioned' and healthy transportation as well as free parking.

You forgot to mention the 'air-conditioned' and healthy transportation as well a ample free parking.

We are on the way! Still too chilly here (Seattle) for that kind of outdoor living! You are in VA?

WOW - I'd say that is truly an ocean front resort!

Well, I read further and see that you might be in the Beaufort, SC area. I was there during the filming of The Prince of Tides, staying in a cottage on Hunting Island. Beautiful place. Deer grazing in the yard at daybreak, wonderful seafood, a sea turtle laying eggs and covering them with sand, fabulous architecture - all delightful. The Gullah history there is also interesting. And, a great seafood place en route from the islands to Beaufort called Steamers or Steamy's...tables with holes in the center so you could throw away the shells! Nick Nolte loved to eat there while the movie was being filmed and rode his bike over. Great memories.

Colleen, I am glad you are having such a good time. Tell hubby to get his own blog and set it up for him...LOL. Mr. kenju is always suggesting what I might put on the blog - and I tell him the same thing!

If things weren't so absolutely picture perfect right now here at home, I'd be green! Looks wonderful and really glad you're having such a terrific time!

Yes, there are photos of Nick Nolte (here while filming the Prince of Tides) and Tom Hanks all over town. The Great Sanini and The Big Chill were also filmed here.

Thanks, Tabor for those great suggestions. I think I do need to add them!

Thanks to everyone for visiting.

Great pad.

Michele sent me.

You're killin' me here girl.

Oh my goodness.. have you found paradise? :-)

Oh My that looks very beautiful and deeply relaxing...How are you doing, dear Colleen? I sure miss your visits...Boo Hoo.

Excellent advertisement!

I see I'm not the only one with a husband who tries to contribute one liners, quick thoughts and sarcasm to my blog.
