Oxymoron
The highlight of the day is the sunset.

The day’s events revolve around it. (A pun?)
Post Note: My essay about living in Floyd, “Life in the Rural Fast Lane,” originally a blog entry that went on to be published in last year’s Floyd Fest brochure, is set to be aired this Friday on WVTF radio at 6:55 am and again at 8:55. You can hear me reading it at the WVTF site, here.

How strange, two of the semi-local blogs I visit both talking about the coast near Beaufort at the same time. Between you and Blue Ridge Dreaming (http://blueridgedreams.typepad.com/journal/), I'm getting the fever for my own trip to the coast.

I love this entry, Colleen. I need some of that Paradise myself.

That's a wonderful description of Floyd. I live in uptown Meadows of Dan, located right next to Paradise. I can't garden topless here but enjoy all the rest of the special traits of our place in the sun.

Whoops. Blue Ridge Dreaming is at Beaufort NC, which I have been too before. You are at Beaufort SC, which I didn't know existed and consequently just mixed the two places up into one.
