This is What Happens When Your Son is an Artist
Enclosed in the package was a CD of photos and a small 3x3 note cut from a framing mat that read: I wish I had written you a long letter telling you how much I love you. Instead I wrote a little note that said the same thing. I love you, mom.
But I didn’t open the package until later that evening. It sat propped up on a living room coffee table like a work of art. The next day when I talked to my son on the phone, I told him how much I liked the envelope.
“You could just send out envelopes like that without anything inside them. It’s like getting a cool greeting card that you don’t even have to open,” I said.
Post Note: So, how often do people nominated for something forget to vote for themselves? Monday is the last day to vote in the Share the Love Blog Awards over at One Woman’s World.

What an idea! A whole new way of communicating! He could make a fortune on this and then just spend his time doing what he wants... making beautiful pottery and art.

Well, I often take Sundays off and this current post was really meant for Monday, but I posted it late Sunday night. The "Share the Love" blog award voting isn't over until the end of the day today (Monday). Sorry if I confused anyone.

I have always written on envelopes. But, I never did it like him. How COOL!
I VOTED!

I can certainly understand how Josh loves to make his envelopes a work of art. He got it from his mother! I've got a touch of it myself. Remember our rubber stamp days (before email and blogging)?
As for voting:
I'll have to get over there today to vote for myself (blushing). I am still getting over my other nomination at Carol's "A revision."
I'm now a member of Friends of the Friendless Band. See post if interested:

Your son is not only an artist, he's your artist! and you are getting back what you have given him. Lovely. Awww, boys. I have an only son, so I have no experience with girls...

Congrats on the nomination.
No, I don't suppose the bonnet could of helped. He looks around the age where he doesn't want to look a -ew-girl.

That is so beautiful. I once received a deflated balloon in the mail. I had to blow it up to read the message in magic marker.
