Happy Hour and the Flower Forecast

1. Summer Snowball
2. Flower Shower
3. A Flurry of Flutter
4. A Butterfly bar serving nectar on tap

Oh, I love the shot with the butterflies! Beautiful!

Great shots Colleen!

What beautiful shots! I love the one of the "butterfly bar." Aren't coneflowers wonderful?

Flower shower! ooh, lovely phrase. Nice to get these walkabouts done. They refresh the soul even when I go out reluctantly into the sun(burn).

This is the one I have been waiting for - miss those fleurs from Virginia Northward sigh

Sandy, I thought of you when I was taking these pictures.

what a great thrill to get that last photo! pretty amazing to be there at the right time. :)

Gorgeous shots, Colleen! The rhododendron is beautiful. I used to see a lot of it in the woods when I travel up Rte. 77, but I didn't see any in bloom last week. :-/

I love the first one!!!

The Rhododendrons are in peak bloom right now, up and down the parkway and our driveway. In the fall we drive the parkway for the leaves, in July it's for rhododendrons.

We never get those spectacular varieties of butterfly here - just your "garden-variety" Monarchs which, though beautiful, can't hold a candle to your visitors.

We do have a 'butterfly farm" down the road where we can see some gorgeous lepidoptera in all their phases.

Love the butterfly photos. Beautiful.
