13 Thursday: Life is But a Dream
1. Joe and I just saw the movie Inception, which made me remember this favorite quote: “Dreams are real as long as they last. Can we say anymore about life?” Havelock Ellis
2. We’ve been picking turnip greens from under our new Redbud tree in our yard. I guess there were seeds in the compost we used when we planted it.
3. Last week we brought 2 year old Bryce a pumpkin from our garden and after we drew a scary face on it (his request) he got kind of scared of it and called it a “scary crow,” a take-off on the word scarecrow. Watch the good versus evil play HERE.
4. Perfect for a tea lover like me: I was recently sipping tea and writing in my notebook on the porch when Joe noticed that some of the words on my “Chateau Morrisette” T-shirt were covered up, making the word Chateau read TEA and Morrisette read RISE.
5. “When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate.” ~ Carl Jung
6. I made this mandala and other visual effects from the above photo of my t-shirt using THIS website, discovered on Pearl’s blog.
7. Quote seen on a T-shirt for sale in the window of the Floyd Country Store: “Moonshine: If it wasn’t so good they wouldn’t chase us.”
8. The moonshine T-shirts are sold in mason jars.
9. This would be a good time to mention my writer’s byline: I keep a dictionary in the backseat of my car and a kaleidoscope in my glove compartments. What else do you need to know?
10. When I say I’m not working with a full deck it means that, as someone who deals with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, when other people get 52 cards of energy to spend everyday, I’m lucky if I get 30.
11. My brother Bob has been posting famous Bobs for his Facebook profile picture all week, including Bob Seeger, Bobby Brown, Bob Denver, Bob Barker, Bob Bell (bozo the clown), Bob Costa, Builder Bob, and Bob Newhart.
12. Count sheep much? Or play pong with them? THIS is delightfully strange.
13. “I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours.” Bob Dylan

I like your writer’s byline. And your photos. And your moonshine quote. I don’t like moonshine but I do like the word.

A dictionary and kaleidoscope? Hmm… yes, that is all you need to know!

That’s funny that they sell the moonshine tees in mason jars. Not a fan of his music, but I like the Bob Dylan quote.

Yes! I liked it a lot, sort of like The Matrix meets Minority Report.

Colleen: That sheep video put a big smile on my face! I am still grinning! One might say these men have been alone with their sheep too long, but heck, they are having fun and the sheep don’t seem to mind!

Good one, Lauren!
