Spoken Word is so beneficial .. I could not be there to share my poetry and songs, but do enjoy reading about the wonderful event on April 17th — at the cafe in Floyd. / To be in the circle of Floyd and know this remembrance is healing. / The world consciousness is crying out for healing circles such as this one / “Timeless in the quantum leap of knowing the place for the first time – every time; timeless in these somnambulent streams of lucid dreaming. /

The Young Actors Co-op has been active in the community for several years, putting on play productions. Spoken Word is a natural fit for most of those kids and many have been coming for at least the last two years.

The Spoken Word is going on it’s fifth year. It was started by members of the writer’s workshop I belong to for the purpose of outreach to promote the spoken word in the community. I’d say it’s worked. But it took a couple of years to build attendance and a solid following.
