Just buy a guy's robe--or steal your husbands. That's what I did. Besides, it has his manly smell--something that puts interesting thoughts into my head.

#13...me and you both girlfriend!
I bought the super soft yellow robe last time...it hasn't done as badly as I thought it would. The super soft fluffy stuff seems to fend off grime more than my last terry robe that was white and really didn't make it long. I think it was actually Martin who made me throw that one away because I was starting to disgust him or soemthing....I think the really soft fluffy ones repel dirt BUT I do look like a big old duck in it! A big fat waddly fluffy duck!!!
I'd like some more grown up colors too...peacock blue would be nice!

Wonderful TT. :) Try the eggnog scramble and see?
I just go ahead and buy the men's robes. They get cheaper jeans, too, but that doesn't help me. :(
My TT is about the solstice this week.

Asheville---I love Asheville. I'm glad your son got some link love. Eggnog scramble. Actually it sounds pretty nice (?)
I feel the same way you do about bathrobes---it's best just to buy a man's one, I think. I like pink, but not on me...

I miss egg nog!!! The only one I've ever found that I like was the one from Farm Store when we lived in Florida. Didn't like any of the ones in TN and having trouble finding any here in NH.
Isn't it cool that some wrote such a nice thing about Josh on their blog. How awesome is that!!!
Know that makes you happy!!!
I just went to check my bathrobes - a white one, light blue waffle fabric, light blue with flowers, and a pastel lavender...you're right! No dark colors around!
Blowing up a yard ornament of Santa???

You beat me to the punch on the history of egg nog...as you'll see in tomorrow's Friday Fact.
As for "X-mas"...I did know that, but I'm always glad to have its history come out so that more people can relax about the world taking Christ out of Christmas...er, I meant X-mas.
Hope you're staying warm and well!

Bathrobes...I currently wear my husbands thick dark green and navy blue striped bathrobe. He wasn't wearing it, preferring a thin Burberry (WalMart) plaid. He still thinks of mine as HIS; mentioned how it needed a slight mend in a seam. So don't hesitate to shop the men's department for a darker robe.
Ham: you commented on my blog about your natural ham. I haven't fixed one in years that didn't come with directions on the label, but my cookbook says for a fresh (not smoked) ham, whole, bone-in, 10-14 lbs, roast it 18 to 20 mins per pound at 325F. I like to do the scoring thing, insert whole cloves, then slather with a mix of drippings and brown sugar about half-way through. If you have a meat thermometer, you want a temp of 170 to be safe. (160 for a smoked ham). Your kitchen will smell wonderful!
