When my now ex-husband asked me to marry him I was expecting a proposal but not at that particular time or place. My response: “Are you kidding me?! If you’re kidding me, it’s really NOT funny!!
I wonder if that had anything to do with it not working out thirteen years later.

The bravest thing I ever did was to do the zip lines in Costa Rica. I have the “dot” tonenail like Moon’s,and I have a little bump in front of my right ear (my only birthmark).

I am a lapsed (more accurately “former”) Catholic who often doodles pictures of people with stigmata.
I once wrote the word “drawer” only to find out days later that I really wrote “draw” as in “sock draw” on a post in which I was mocking a popular superior writer. Not so weird, really—I deserve everything I get.
I only buy yellow, blue, red and white paint. It’s thought of as weird in artist circles, but it isn’t.
I have lost faith in science. This is also not weird, but it’s thought of as weird because I didn’t also fill the hole where Catholicism was with Rick Santorum-style populist evangelical Christianity. Hey, you’re one of the other right? Middle ground? Triangulation? What are those things?
I paid over $200 for seats in the 99th row and rode to the concert with friends who had free VIP tickets. This is not thought of as weird. It should be.
See. I’m really not so weird~,:^)

I loved this post!…even went to your post about makeup that explained why u got the white eyebrow, very interesting.
Well, I love to break out in song around the house but I make up words as I go and sings in unknown melodies..why? I have no idea lol.
One other weird fact is that the women in my family ..grandmother, mother, me and both sisters, all have a Dot toenail on our baby toes. We grew up thinking everyone had that untill changing in gymclass and noticing that everyone else had full nails on pinky toes…I was told once that our family was more evolved because the toenail isnt needed lol….Whatever lol …I like my feet, they are cute so there lol.

Well, I have very weird feet! My big toe is WAY larger than the others and I can really spread those toes wide apart. In college, I would amaze my friends by opening beer bottles with my toes!! My mother used to console me by telling me that my big feet would keep me from tipping over. Huh??????

Well, I “thought” I was weird/quiky because of my fanatic obsession with certain ink pens that I own, but after blogging about this last week….I find perhaps I’m not as weird as I thought.
I’m sure friends and loved ones could come up with a few…but at the moment, my well is dry.

Well, I don’t know if it’s weird or just plain ridiculous for a 73 year oldster but I love to listen to heavy metal or hard rock music when I’m driving long distances. Most of my friends think of me as serene and quiet, a lover of classical music and NPR. They would not admit to knowing me if they saw me cranking up the sound and singing along..and it’s the only time I listen to that type of music but I find it fun and relaxing.

Great idea, Alan! You know, I always look back and feel bad for the guy who asked me out that time and got an answer like the one I gave. I guess I felt put on the spot. The coupon idea is great because it gives the woman a change to think about it.
Leslie, I enjoy the images of you dancing with dogs in your bald eage haircut. Putting them together adds to the weirdness.
Sixteen is very young to start going grey. My eyebrow went shock white when I was 13, along with my eyelashes and a streak in my hair, all the the left side of my head. It’s called Segmental Vitiligo.

Speaking of asking someone out on a date….
I worked with this lady that I wanted very much to ask out on a date. We had exchanged greetings and smiles but that was about it and I was a bit intimidated by her and also a bit shy. So I created a “Date Coupon” entitling her to one free date with me to include dinner at the establishment of her choice and stipulating that no overnight gratuities were included in this basic coupon. I laid it on her desk during her morning coffee break. Later that afternoon she came by my desk and said she would like to cash in her coupon. Strange….but clever huh?

I started getting gray when I was 16, and I colored my hair for years until I got old enough to like it. When I stopped coloring it and cut it short, there was a dark band all the way around at the bottom. I looked like a bald eagle.
And I dance with the dogs, usually when no one is watching.

I do that too! Break out in song out of nowhere. The fun part for me is that I like to sing a standard in different ways, varying the meter and such, and singing in every way I can think of.
I make my share of mistakes on my blog too. I’ve notice most people ignore them. Only my sister Sherry tells me (in an email), and I say “tell me more.” That’s one thing sisters are for!

Those are great Colleen! That was a really brave thing to do and I couldn’t do it.
Well for one thing I get my words all mixed up as I did in today’s post and had to go back and add a correction after a newcomer called me out on it. At least you and Terri are nice enough to ignore my mistakes!
Gosh, I think I am just weird period…I like to suddenly break out in song and dance, either for the pets, kids, Martin…whoever is there to see! (It isn’t good either!)(and really loud!)
