Nice pics, Colleen. Where are the stairs?

Joe facilitated a teen meditation weekend in Woolwine at http://earthsongretreat.org , about half an hour from Floyd. On Sunday there was an open house and I went down with some friends to share a meal with the retreat goers. After that we toured another nearby retreat center, where the larger teen meditation retreat was held this past summer. It's more upscale than the rustic one at earthsong and had a huge metal house on the property that we called the dharma center, seen in part here. It was an industrial-like mansion.

#1: The leaves were more colorful in Woolwine. It's down off the mountain.
#2: Remember in the show Mayberry RFD, Floyd was the barber?
#4: That is my neighbors pumpkin field after Halloween.

Loved the shot of the car reflected in the window - makes you kind of wonder, is that car inside or out...? :-)

loved the pictures thanks I feel just like I'm there at times . that's a special thing.. sk

Thanks, Colleen.

Great songs to go with great pictures, as always you pull it all together so nicely.

For a moment, I thought Floyd had another new building that I somehow didn't know about!

I do remember Mayberry and Floyd. In fact, I still watch the show on TV Land sometimes.

"The Day Cut Short" or "Taking A Short Cut"!!!

What a beauty tree!

Hi Colleen,
love your pictures! The pumpkins look so lonely -- Halloween leftovers!! -- but the mountains in the back look so lovely with all the colors. The tree is wonderful too! We are just starting to turn here -- last couple of nights hit near 32 degrees, so the leaves will be changing color and dropping to the ground in record numbers!
And how could we forget Floyd the barber?!

Are you warm and cozy tonight? The first real cold seems to be here! I felt bad for the leftovers until a friend explained how the deer, raccoons, etc will feast like kings! And that it is good for it to go back to mother earth. I just wish I could have grown one.

I don't understand why he left SO many good ones.

We are out of practice on keeping the wood stove going but getting good practice tonight. Now if we can just figure out what to do about that doggie door letting all the cold air in.

Thanks Ruth for the excellent caption suggestions. I'm going to change it because yours is better than what I had.

I'm honoured, Colleen! Thanks!
