Life is not a highway strewn with flowers,
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss,
When the sun gives way to April showers,
Here is the point you should never miss.
Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it's raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn't raining rain, you know, (It's raining violets,)
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list'ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list'ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.
I am just anxious to see how my trees recover from the frost bite. Many are so black and limp. I guess Mother Nature knows how to fix things but I don't see how my pretty azaleas will bloom when all their blooms are brown? I've been sitting here watching the rain and the little birds bathing in it!
So many of my plants have been freeze damaged. My tulips are laying down playing dead. I wonder if the warm sun (not happening today) will prove to be a cure.
Actually there's a 3rd choice in this line-up (not happening today). Barefoot!
Stay inside and go with the sneakers! They're nice and cheery. But as a farm girl, I know we really do need this rain... plus maybe it'll get the darned pollen count down!
We're to get a snowstorm mixed with rain tonight! Only crocuses are up anyway, we're far behind many of you!
I am sick of cold and windy weather. TS Elliot said that April was the wickedest month! Too true some years.
My husband actually went skiing yesterday! (He SAYS it was his last but I never believe him!!

From the forecast it would be advisable to go with the boots...But, WTH, enjoy the day with a little color on a dreary day.

I always liked boots better then sneakers.
That would be my choice.
