It was a leaf that I came upon at the bottom of my driveway. I think it was hanging from a spider's thread.

Love the leaf photo and as always, you captured the shots with the appropriate words.

Colleen & Joe, it almost sounds as if your lives are taken a different shade of color and going for a change of scenery with some kind of home project!

I notice your name has "art" in it, and "start." Have you started to make art yet?

I "started" my "art" at Quincy Trade School in the year 1971 taking Graphic Arts, learning offset press and the mechanics of film photography.

At 1985, a year after my wife, child and moved to West Central Florida, I picked up picture taking with a simple 35mm point and shoot camera.

Ever since than I have been fascinated with taken "frozen moments in time" and sharing them with family and friends!

How did it start with you Colleen?

I love the stairs leading to who knows where! It naturally works the imagination.
The chairs and car photo I probably would have called, "Company Coming!"

When I first saw the picture and the name, I thought...wow, great catch! Then I saw you said it's hanging from a spider web...still a lovely shot!

Janet, I did try to catch a leaf falling, but it never happened.

Ruth, I love your alternative caption. I guess I like a little tension in the mix, and what you may not be able to detect is the truck is in the middle of the yard, not anywhere close to the driveway or a road. And as Jos pointed out, it leads well into "insight" and then "possiblity."

Stu-art, I bought my first cheap camera as soon as I started earning my own money. I have always taken pictures and love them as a way to document life. I think I have a pretty good eye for composing shots, but I lack the technical skill for using equipment (I call this having no tech-no-logic sense). I'm mechanically dyslexic and as soon as something gets complicated my brain shuts down. I'm still trying to master the delay and light issues that come with digital camera. I 'm using a Sony Cyber shot that Joe got me for my birthday last May. It's good for a blogger because I can stash it in my pocket and go out incognito.

Computers are even more complicated than cameras and are like Greek to me.

Maybe we'll meet up someday on "A" street and compare notes about photos.

Colleen, I like what you said about documenting life. . .at times in my life, I'll just sit back with a cup of coffee and look thru the photo albums~what enjoyment and reflection that brings to me!

You do have an eye for composing shots~they tell a story~which one depends upon the eye of the beholder.

I never had and probably never will use a "manual" camera~too much technical stuff to remember for me too!

It's what comes natural in picture taking that is so much fun~I like to keep it that way~use what you got. . .keep on snapping and a rythym of style becomes second nature to you!

What a stunning sequence. I was captivated by the leaf, but after seeing all four, I can't say which I'd choose as a favorite.
