That one of sunset is GORGEOUS. Thank you for sharing. Plus, I kind of dig those skulls!

No snow yet? But beautiful sunsets. How do you ever choose which ones to photograph?

Nice! I love # 1 and 4.

i want to jump into the picture and hop on that tire swing right now! it looks lonely!

I photograph all the sunsets! As many as I can. They hardly ever translate. They look better in person. This morning Joe left some "surprise sunrise" photos that I found on my camera. He gets up earlier than me.

Gorgeous photos -- love that sunset! We have some pretty skies here in SC, too; you have inspired me to dig my camera out at sunset and head out on the back patio.

Hey, I have one of those blue planets in my back yard, initially inhabited by my kids, now the grandkids!
Love the empty nest photo, reminds me of this stage in life - we call it PK. While raising our kids we would talk of the good ol' PK times (pre-kids), now we are back to PK all over again (post kids)!

Great photos. You do that so well. :-)

The trampoline looks so sad and lonely.....I want the chairs you have in the empty nest. I think something like that would look great closer to the fence where the horses love to hang with a nice flower bed near by....See I am already dreaming of spring and it isn't even Christmas yet!
Beautiful photos.

Hi Colleen, It was good to hear from you. I have felt the same agoraphobic reaction to open spaces and it can be very frightening. I wish I had seen the sunflowers, but at least the weather was summer-like and not frigid. I have one more post about Oklahoma and then I will be over the exerience. BTW, my job at King College is going well. As soon as I can, I want to visit Floyd and have a cup of java with you.

As always....enjoy your photos and captions. At first I thought the first photo was of a forest fire. What really caught my attention was the size of that tree behind the chairs in the second photo. I assume it must be an Oak...but a very old one indeed.

You have a wonderfully whimsical photographic view of the world, Colleen. You've inspired me to step into my own backyard and look for interesting things to share. More soon...
